Ecology and distribution
Trop. Afr.
Biology : Annual, succulent, erect or diffuse di-trichotomously branched woody rootstock.
Ecology : Rocky places; locally abundant on gneiss rock outcrops (according to Welwitsch it made the hills look purple). Only known from the type collected in 1857.
