Biology : Succulent perennial with woody, decumbent, much-branched from the woody base; the branches often congested.
Ecology : Stony hillsides; in crevices of rock outcrops; in volcanic ash of cinder cones; dry upland areas; (65-)700-2450 m alt. The commonest yellow-flowered species in Kenya; confused with P. foliosa (commonest in W Africa).
