Biology : Prostrate slender perennial herb with straggling stems, opposite- 1 cm high, old stems woody, covered with persistent leaf-bases.
Ecology : Deciduous bushland or open woodland, in shade, on bare, ± disturbed, flat sandy or loamy soil; also under very dense Acacia- Commiphora bushland with abundant Sansevieria and scandent Plectranthus on soft black soil; 30-1350 m alt. Disjunct distribution.
