Ecology : Deciduous woodland, often on termite-mounds (E Africa); drier types of open woodland and often associated with Acacia spp.; on termitaria at higher alt. in Brachystegia country (Fl. Zambes. area); 750-1350 m alt. Botswana; S. Africa (Transvaal, Natal).
