Biology : Climbing or scrambling shrub, 1-3 m or more.
Ecology : Grassland with scattered trees and deciduous bushland, often on termite-hills and in riverine thickets; secondary scrub; 0- 1800 m alt. (E Africa); old treated forest and N edge of forest (Uganda) – Also coastal scrub (W Africa). Comprises 3 vars.
