Biology : Perennial herb 1-3,5 m tall; stem terete, fistular, finely striate, to ± 1,75 cm Ø at base, glabrous or ± furnished with fine hairs; branches numerous above, opposite or whorled, divaricate; inflorescence much branched.
Ecology : Among dense vegetation or long grass by forest edges and tracks; by streams; in swamp; occasionally as a weed in cultivated areas; 1066-2300 m alt.
