Biology : Climber to 12 m long; stems perennial, arising from a massive woody rootstock with a thick furrowed bark; young stems herbaceous; older stems becoming woody and thickened with a thin light bark.
Ecology : Acacia-Commiphora woodland and bushland, rocky outcrops; 200-1250 m alt.
