Biology : Robust perennial herb growing in small clumps; rhizome erect or ascending, c. 2 mm Ø, stolon-like; culms 15-40 cm long, 0,6-1 mm Ø, trigonous; leaves from the lower 3-6 cm only; the upper 3-5 sheaths producing blades; blades coriaceous, flat, scabrous on
Ecology : Border of gallery forest, along road; c. 300 m alt.
  Most similar to K. nemoralis (J. R. Forster & G. Forster) Dandy with, however, horizontal or creeping rhizome and much smaller spikelets (2-2,5x0,6-1 mm) and glumes (2-3,5 mm long).
  Known only from the type collected in 1967.
