Biology : Tufted herb with capillary stems to 40 cm tall; leaf sheaths readily splitting into black fibres; blade capillary, 0,3-0,75 mm wide; inflorescence rounded, 0,8-1 cm wide, with long-tipped white (even when dry) spikelets; glumes strongly unequal.
Ecology : Damp sandy ground.
  Near K. alba.
