Terrestrial robust herb 30-75 cm tall, glabrous; tubers 1-2, ellipsoid, 2,5-4x1-2,5 cm; stem with 2 basal leaves and 3-6 distant sheaths; basal leaves appressed to ground, subopposite, ovate-reniform, 3-8x6,5-11 cm; cauline sheaths lanceolate, 4-7x1-2 cm; inflorescence 4-14 cm long, 5-7 cm Ø, 3-12-flowered; flowers curved outwards, white; bracts later reflexed, lanceolate, 25-40 mm long; ovary 12-14 mm long; sepals and petals projecting forwards, united very shortly at base to lip; dorsal sepal oblong-lanceolate, 17-23x3-10 mm; laterals 17-25x6-12 mm; petals 17-23x4-8 mm; dorsal sepal and petals keeled outside in lower half; lip very convex, c. 16-23 mm long and wide, apex curved back, mouth wide; spurs slender, tapering, 22-35 mm long, parallel to ovary. |
