Terrestrial herb 8-15 cm tall; tubers ovoid, 1-1,2x0,8 cm; stem with 2 basal leaves, otherwise leafless; leaves sub-opposite, ovate-acute, ± fleshy, 2x1,5-1,8 cm; inflorescence laxly 3-15-flowered; flowers carmine with darker stripes; bracts ovate-lanceolate, 6-7 mm long, shorter than ovary; sepals and petals free to base, c. 5 mm long; dorsal sepal obovate-oblong; lateral sepals and petals narrower; lip somewhat convex, c. 5 mm long, constricted above middle, apex widened above, margins crenulate; spurs cylindrical, as long as lip. |
