Biology : Shrub or small tree 1-2,5-10 m tall, unarmed, closely related and similar to A. mearnsii; leaves bipinnate, silvery; flowers yellow, in heads; pods ± straight dehiscing along one margin only.
Ecology : Native of E-SE Australia.
  Cultivated for fodder, charcoal, flowers (cosmetics). Naturalized in Fl. Zambes. area.
Biol./Eco : Shrub, Tree; Subhumid; Grassland, Anthropic; 500-999 m, 1000-1499 m, 1500-1999 m, 2000-2499 m; distribution: Naturalised in Madagascar.
