Biology : Similar to B. aethiopica but: male flowers with 8 (inner) tepals in 2 rows (3 in inner row), and anther thecae 10 in 1 row; female flower and fruit unknown.
Ecology : Brachystegia woodland (“Myombowald”);– On Julbernardia globiflora (Berlinia eminii).
  c. 1350 m alt. Known only from the (destroyed, B) type collected in 1907 (Holtz 1422), and the above cited drawing.
